Police Officers

 

 

Gwent Police and South Wales Police are looking to recruit Police Constables and Detective Constables from other Home Office Forces, who have completed their probationary period.

We are looking for Police Constables from all backgrounds, currently serving with other Home Office Forces. As well as many staff benefits we provide a wide range of career opportunities, specialist posts, as well as development and promotion prospects.

We are also looking to recruit qualified and experienced Detective Constables with skills and experience in managing a range of complex investigations, and/or experience of digital evidence gathering, dealing with cyber-enabled crimes, and an understanding of a range of vulnerabilities and the appropriate ways to respond.  (South Wales Police are also looking for Detective Sergeants and Inspectors)

The Mental Health Professional will be expected to provide advice, guidance and direction to staff in Gwent Police in relation to responding to those who call for service who are in mental health crisis or with mental health needs.

Salary

£40,316 - £43,884 (20% shift allowance included in this total)

Hours

  37 hours (The posts require a 24/7 cover and therefore the rota is based on a 6 on 4 off shift rota over a 10 week period)

The Mental Health Professional Manager will be expected to provide strategic leadership and line management to the team of five mental health professionals working in the Communications Suite. As the manager, you will be expected to work with partners to implement the Gwent Mental Health Concordat and work with the Gwent Police lead for Mental Health to develop and implement Policies and Procedures to support and improve working practices. The aim is to improve our response to Mental Health within the Force and with Partner Agencies.

Hours

 37 hours The hours of work are primarily Monday – Friday but there is an expectation due to the service needs being a 24/7 service there will be times that you will be needed to work outside of core hours.  This is expected as the role of the manager to manage service demand; the salary is an inclusive salary
